Another tip for 2010, this one going in the opposite direction: where HURTS are all about restraint and control, Fyfe Dangerfield (vocalist of Guillemots, launching his debut solo album next January) is all excess and no limits. She Needs Me is a very good example of this attitude: falsetto voices, dramatic pianos, bigger-than-life strings and horns, nothing is left out with the sole purpose of reaching higher states. All these elements could result in a kitschy mess, but somehow they all stick together in this ultra-catchy song. The good news is that there's more where this came from.
