TV On The Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain

Can we make a party out of the apocalypse? According to TV On The Radio's second album, we must, so let's celebrate today, while we can, because there could be no tomorrow. Let's do it in a dense and intense way, invite our ancestor's ghosts and talk about death, chaos, life and beauty. Like some of the best recent rock albuns (Arcade Fire, Liars, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Broken Social Scene), "rock" is only the beginning and the end is an overdose of emotions that takes into life our most primitive feelings. Abrasive guitars, soul atmospheres, gospel emotions, pop vocals, jazzy-funky constructions, experimental noises and an out-of-this-world music, so rich and powerful as only the most urgent things in life. Celebrate while you can.
